Colin Farrell fought hard to make The Penguin smoke in Batman (2022), but to no avail
Line of Events
After the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, makes a move to take over Gotham’s criminal underworld. Except for the bat in the last scene of the season finale, we’ve never had a cameo from Robert Pattinson in “The Penguin.” In this short video, IMDb tries to answer: Where the hell was Batman? However, in his own series, the character is portrayed as an occasional smoker, preferring to smoke cigars.

But after episode 1, I can confirm that this show is amazing (so far)
I thought Colin Farrell was great as the Penguin in Batman, but I never understood how they would take a skinny, handsome actor and put him in huge prosthetics and a fat suit… especially when I think he looks like some of the other famous actors who would have been just as good. I also don’t understand why this spinoff came about, and to be honest, I’m tired of Batman reboots.
But I didn’t expect to like it as much
I only watched it because I knew there was a bridge between the first and second movies, and I was surprised that Farrell was in the first one. The acting is fantastic, the writing is great, and it surprised me with some quick twists. The biggest thing I liked was that there was a lot more color in this than in Batman.
I hope it continues to be as good as it is, because I can’t wait for the next episode
I noticed that almost immediately, because the movie was a big cop-out for me (it felt like I was watching it through Zack Snyder’s lens).
