The plot follows three very different families who compete for the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they believe will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano appeared in the Ice Age series (2002-present). I was surprised that the show received such a low rating, but it made more sense when we saw the many reviews explaining why it didn’t survive the first episode. The show is a mysterious, slow burn that may not be for everyone. Personally, I found it funny and entertaining, given Liz Feldman’s tone, which I like. I really like the cast and everyone’s performances. At first, I wasn’t sold on Ray Romano because of my preconceptions (I couldn’t tell him from “Everybody Loves Raymond” for the life of me), but that quickly wore off. Each of the characters has their own side stories that create a tangled web of chaos that gradually, if not completely, unravels. By the final episode, I was already pretty much caught up in the story, even though I figured out the main plot twist pretty early on. But I’m not mad about that. I’d love to see more of this show, and I hope there’s a second season. No need to waste time rewinding. Here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows coming to Netflix this month.
